Designated Employee Representative (DER) Training
6 hours - A WORKING CAMERA & MICROPHONE REQUIRED. INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATIONS ONLY. NO GROUPS.

Under Dept. Of Transportation CDL regulations, employers must designate and train a DER to act as a resource to the drivers about DOT and employer policies. This is 6 hour workbook-driven session with a 1 hour lunch break. The course covers mandatory drug and alcohol testing programs, and the responsibilities of the employer, the DER, third-party administrators, the MRO, and the driver.

NOTE: This training covers the same content as our DER course given in 2019 & 2021. If you attended one of the 2019 or 2021 sessions it is not required you attend this webinar.

In order to ensure workbooks are received in time for the class, registrations must be completed before August 26, 2022.

Registration Suggested: 2 Employees per town

PLEASE NOTE: EACH student MUST have access to a computer or device with a WORKING CAMERA & MICROPHONE. To replicate an in-person classroom as closely as possible, each student will be ‘on-camera’ during the class and will be asked to contribute in class discussions.

** To maintain the integrity of the MSI classes and our ability to offer CEUs, we must abide by the rules of the State agency who issued the designation. Chief among those rules is the attendee of the class must attend the whole session. Attendees who enter the class more than 5 minutes late or leave early will not be awarded CEUs for the class or receive a certificate of completion.
