Chainsaw Safety

1 hour - The OSHA requirements and best practices for using chainsaws on the ground and in a bucket of a truck will be reviewed. Best practices for pole saws are also included in the program.

Required on initial assignment and recommended periodic refresher for employees who use chainsaws.

Recommended for workers on the ground who support chainsaw operations in a bucket truck.

Continuing Education Approvals:
CPWM - 1.0 Technical CEU Credit
Water/Wastewater - 1.0 Safety TCH


*** To maintain the integrity of MSI classes and our ability to offer CEUs, we must abide by the rules of the State agency who issued the designation. Chief among those rules is the attendee of the class must attend the whole session. Attendees who enter the class more than 5 minutes late or leave early will not be awarded CEUs for the class or receive a certificate of completion.
