Topics include matching the fire extinguishers to the 5 classes of fires, the limitations of fire extinguishers, and the proper use and inspection of extinguishers. Required upon initial assignment and annual refresher training for Public Works, Utility and others who have been designated to use an extinguisher. Chief among those rules is the attendee of the class must attend the whole session. Attendees who enter the class more than 5 minutes late or leave early will not be awarded CEUs for the class or receive a certificate of completion.
